Making Politics Make Sense - Our Online Youth Forum

If you're a young person in Gilmore and you're not quite sure how voting works, what the parties stand for, or how to make your vote count — you're not alone.

This forum is a safe, youth-led space to ask questions, get clear information, and talk about the future you want to see.

The event is hosted by Kate 4 Gilmore — a community campaign supporting Independent candidate Kate Dezarnaulds in the upcoming federal election. But it’s not about promoting Kate or asking for your vote. It’s about making sure young people in Gilmore feel informed, heard, and confident heading into their first election.

Kate will be there to answer your questions
— but mostly, she’s there to listen.

🌟 Featuring special guest:

Grace McBride — Grace is a creative strategist who’s spent over a decade helping progressive movements cut through with fresh, accessible political messaging. She’s passionate about making politics make sense — especially for the next generation.

🧭 What we’ll cover:

Then we’ll dive into ‘important topics that are crucial for this election: housing, climate, mental health, cost of living, education, equality — and the change you want to see in your community.

💬 Got questions? We want to hear them.
