As we turn our attention to the next federal election, we’re inviting locals of all ages—especially young people—to step up, share their stories, and speak out about the issues that matter most to them.
The Kate Dezarnaulds 4 Gilmore Community Independent Campaign team are hosting a celebratory series of high-energy We Are Gilmore fundraising and fun-raising events across the electorate of Gilmore to celebrate our diverse community, elevate new voices, and inspire real conversations about the future we want to create.
Inspired by the incredible grassroots Community Independent movement gathering momentum across the country- these events are designed to inspire, connect and energise independently minded people from the villages surrounding Gerringong, Nowra, Culburra, Ulladulla and Moruya to come together, celebrate and speak up for the change we want to see in our Communities.
Each of the series of FIVE events will feature fast-paced lightning talks from community members with something to say—whether it’s a personal challenge, a big idea, or a cause close to their heart. There will be plenty of support and encouragement for those not accustomed to public speaking - and we guarantee a warm and celebratory atmosphere and a great night out.
We’ll also have local musicians performing to create an unforgettable atmosphere, turning these events into a true celebration of community, connection, and change.
This is politics done differently—more listening, more learning, and more people-powered action.
