Film Screening + Community Conversation with Kate
Join us for a powerful evening of truth-telling, film, and community action.
We’ll be screening No Safe Seat, the compelling documentary from Climate 200 that captures the rise of independent voices standing up for climate action, integrity, and community-led politics.
The evening also features Mourning Country, a poetic short film that reflects on the trauma of the Black Summer bushfires and the deep spiritual connection to land. Narrated by Uncle Noel Butler, Budawang Elder and cultural educator, the film is a moving tribute to resilience, Country, and the urgent need to listen to First Nations wisdom.
After the screenings, stay for a community Q&A with Kate, the Community Independent Candidate for Gilmore, as we explore how Gilmore can lead with courage and compassion in the face of a changing climate.
This is more than a movie night—it’s a conversation about the future we want, grounded in respect, action, and care for Country.
